Sellers question Ozon’s revised return policy, citing delays and discrepancies with official promises.
Sellers have questioned whether Ozon’s recently revised return policy is merely a formality, with no significant improvement in actual operation. They report that returned goods still need to be sent to the platform’s warehouse, and processing times for pickup requests exceed the promised limits. Although the platform allows immediate pickup upon arrival (previously requiring a 30-day wait), after intervention from the Federal Antitrust Bureau, sellers still point out that the return process differs from the official description, requiring goods to be transferred through the warehouse, causing delays and affecting inspection.
Vietnam has introduced new regulations to combat counterfeit goods on e-commerce platforms, requiring stores to be shut down within 24 hours of discovering counterfeit products.

To address this challenge, the Ministry of Industry and Trade is taking a three-pronged approach:
- To improve the legal framework for e-commerce, a draft e-commerce law is currently being submitted to the government.
- Strengthen law enforcement inspections and organize regular patrols by market management and customs departments;
- Clarify the responsibilities of platforms, requiring e-commerce platform owners to control the source of goods and ensure that transaction receipts are complete.
