Amazon Strikethrough Prices Disappearing Across US Listings, Hitting Seller Orders
Strikethrough prices have been mysteriously vanishing from a large number of listings on Amazon US recently, while Prime Exclusive Discounts have also been throwing widespread errors. As a result, both click-through rates and conversion rates have declined, and some sellers have seen a notable drop in orders.
The anomaly clustered around the US Labor Day holiday, when online traffic was diverted, with discretionary categories bearing the brunt. Word among sellers is that Amazon may have activated a new reference price rule: a product must sell at the reference price on 10% of the days within a 90-day cycle for its strikethrough price to display normally.

The platform responded that the delays resulted from security measures taken in response to DDoS attacks targeting its “seller balance” system, and that some withdrawal requests have therefore taken longer to process than usual.

After users select a style such as “Casual” or “Refined,” the AI generates complete outfits from items currently sold in the same store, with individual pieces swappable. The system also lets users compare the size of a current item with products they have purchased in the past, helping them judge whether it will fit.
